Growing your brand mileage with your office space!
Your brand is a reflection of who you are as a business. It is, in a nutshell, your professional persona. According to Tomilayo Aluko, Principle brand Consultant at The Boutique Brand Communication Company (The BBCCompany), a business refers to the organization that markets or produces products or services; a brand refers to the “image and personality” a company communicates through its products and services.
In order to build a brand, you need to pay attention to several things. A few include having a well thought-out vision, a brand strategy, a brand story, a unique selling point, logo (and sometimes a tagline) that will encapsulate who you truly are and what you envision to do.
If you have an office space, it should also be utilized as a selling point for your brand. It should be a physical manifestation of your brand – embody who you are, the services you offer, and the target audience you want, amongst others. In simpler terms, your office space must be your brand in the form of a building. It must be easily recognizable and attributable to your brand.
Check out some tips below on how to tastefully incorporate your brand in your office space design
Use the Color of your Brand
Most brands have one or two colors that are associated with their logo. With this, one of the most effective ways of incorporating branding in commercial interiors is to use chosen colors as inspiration. From the tables, chairs, carpet, and wall paint, make sure that they will show the same color as your brand. This is going to create your brand identity, which is perhaps one of the most important things when it comes to branding.
Display your Logo Stylishly
Most brands use modern design templates; glass partitions, glass windows, glass doors etc. in their office space. As such, you can consider adding the logo and punch words that represent the brand on the glass surfaces using Frosted vinyl or Sand Blasting applications. There’s also the option of creating customized wallpaper for a seamless modern look – We would advice that you have a graphics artist create the artwork for you to ensure it is well designed and will effectively add chicness to your office space. If you have a smaller office, ideas as simple as a logo mat, branded office mugs, pens etc… could trigger the minds of your visitors positively towards your brand.
Display Your Accomplishments
When it comes to commercial interiors, brand personification is important. One way to personify your brand is to display brand accomplishments creatively. For instance, have a video running on a screen, or have photos printed on canvass or large frames, which can be displayed in the reception area. This is a novel way to show others not only your creative side, but also what the business is all about.
If you practice the tips above, your office space will gain some brand visibility mileage, which, could in-turn secure more business in the long run!
